Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s spy thriller ‘Alpha’ has reportedly pushed its release by a week. The film, which has undergone several date changes in recent months, will hit the big screens on July 3, 2026, making it a week ahead of its previously announced July 10 release date.
‘Alpha’ changes release date
While there is no official announcement, reports suggest that the studio has locked in a new release date after opening a clear window at the domestic box office. According to Bollywood Hungama trade buzz, the decision comes after ‘Dhamaal 4’ shifted its release from July 3 to July 17, opening the weekend slot. Since there are no big Hindi films releasing that weekend, ‘Alpha’ is believed to have grabbed the opportunity. A source told the portal, “July 3 has become the best day for Alpha. Dhamaal 4 is out, and nothing major is planned for that weekend.”
“Alpha” avoids a confrontation with “Moana”.
The revised date would also help the film avoid a direct clash with Disney’s highly anticipated live-action film ‘Moana’, which is set to release on July 10. By arriving a week earlier, ‘Alpha’ could get a two-week head start at the domestic box office and a one-week run at the international box office against new competition.
