“He didn’t stop even after the director told him to cut it”
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Annu Kapoor recalled an incident where an actor allegedly lost control during an intimate scene.“In one such scene, the hero was carried away. Even after calling ‘cut’, he did not stop. The actor had to leave and fight to escape. He was so shaken that he did not come out of his room for two days,” he said.While he refused to name the actors involved, he added that if the actor saw the interview he would agree with his account.
‘Some actors take advantage of such scenes’
Annu Kapoor also admitted that there were instances where actors misused the situation while shooting daring scenes.“I’ve seen actors get excited in intimate scenes and they don’t stop even when the director says to cut it. Many people take advantage of such situations, but I’ve never done that,” he said.
Priyanka Chopra refused a kiss scene
Sharing another experience, Annu Kapoor spoke about working with Priyanka Chopra in Vishal Bhardwaj-directed 7 Khoon Maaf.He revealed that a kissing scene was part of the script, but Priyanka was not comfortable doing it. “Vishal said that the scene was written for a reason and it couldn’t be removed. Later, his team informed me that he was not comfortable. I didn’t create any trouble, but somehow the news spread,” he shared.
“I make sure my actor is comfortable”
Talking about her approach, Annu Kapoor emphasized professionalism while shooting intimate scenes.“I have always handled such scenes professionally. If an actor feels nervous, I ask if he is okay. I don’t ask for anything more because that can make him more uncomfortable,” he said.
