After years of delays and false starts, the long awaited biopic on the legendary actor Madhubala it’s finally taking shape. Authors have been blocked Sara Arjun putting himself in the shoes of the iconic star, marking a significant milestone for the ambitious project.The film will also mark Sara’s first major outing after the huge success of the Dhurandhar franchise, with Dhurandhar: The Revenge furthering her rising career.According to Variety India, the biographical drama, slated as a live streaming project, will go on floors in July 2026.The project, which had been in development for years, suffered delays due to budget cuts before gaining new momentum. When was the turning point? Sanjay Leela Bhansali joined as a producer. The film will now be directed by Jasmeet K Reen, known for Darlings.
