According to him, Tamil cinema has slowly started breaking the old stereotypes attached to actors from a certain age. “Not everyone gets good roles. I see it as a positive change in cinema,” he explained.Abhirami pointed out that female actors used to be pushed into limited categories after crossing a certain age, but now things are improving. “Beyond that, stereotypes have been broken. People have started to think differently,” he added. Abhirami’s back injury led to a major lifestyle change
Abhirami also revealed that his transformation journey actually started due to a back injury he suffered before the film Blast. The actor said that health and fitness were always important to him, but the injury made him take things more seriously. “Small changes helped me a lot,” she shared.
