Rajasthan Royalsbolstered by another sensational knock from teenage prodigy Vibhu Suryavanshi who survived a freak run-out mistake. Mohsin KhanAdding horror for LSG. Chasing a mammoth target of 220, Suryavanshi wreaked havoc on the LSG bowlers, scoring an impressive 93 off just 38 balls and keeping RR firmly in control of the chase. However, one moment during his innings summed up LSG’s disastrous campaign, missing a freak chance for a run-out that stunned fans and commentators. This incident happened on the very first ball of the 14th over. Dhruv Jural drives the ball towards short third man, prompting Suryavanshi to charge halfway up the pitch for a sharp single. Jurrell eventually sent him back late on, leaving the 15-year-old stranded outside his crease.Fielder Digvesh Rathi reacted quickly and fired a sharp throw to bowler Mohsin Khan, who was standing right next to the stumps at the non-striker’s end. At this point Suryavanshi had almost given up and stopped running, giving him an easy chance to run out.But in a moment that many described as one of the biggest “brain fades” in IPL history, Mohsin casually chose to throw the ball at the stumps from point-blank range instead of calmly removing Bales with the ball in hand. The throw missed the stumps completely, allowing Suryavanshi to make his ground comfortably. The RR teenager was also seen laughing at the strange escapades. To Mohsin’s credit, he recovered from the mistake soon and eventually dismissed Suryavanshi in the same over. The defeat once again highlighted LSG’s miserable phase of the season. After falling out of the play-off contention, they failed to defend another 200-plus total, while missing out on a run-out only added to the feeling that nothing had gone their way in IPL 2026.
