In a recent interview, Chitrangda Singh expressed her admiration for Salman Khan’s remarkable dedication while shooting for the upcoming war drama, ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’. She found it remarkable that he offered her encouragement during her intense emotional scene, even when it wasn’t called for on set. His passion and support left a lasting impression.

Chitrangda, while talking to Variety India about her latest film, opened up about how Salman Khan often worked with her on set. He revealed that he was impressed with his work ethic, as there were no “days off” for him. “I mean, he’s constantly thinking about the work and the film; how he can make it better, what more he can add to the VFX or any other part of the frame. That level of dedication requires something else. What I’ve learned from him is how passionate he is about his work. He’s very interested in what’s going on, as well as other people’s scenes,” he said. He also added that he too would go above and beyond for his work, and even stood by his side when he didn’t even have a shoot at that time.

The actor said that he had an early morning shoot for a scene. As it was one of the most emotional scenes, the ‘Sultan’ actor was there to lend his support. “He made sure he was there, and quite early, to see if I was able to deliver the scene. He didn’t have to be there, but he came because I was reacting on the phone, so he wanted to give me his lines. That’s pure dedication to the craft,” shared the actor.

About ‘Maatrubhumi: May war rest in peace’

The premise of the film is the June 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese forces, also known as the Battle of Galwan. It tells the story of the bravery, sacrifice and resilience of Indian soldiers who fought to defend their country.
