Triumph Tracker 400 Launched in India: Price, Engine Specifications and Key Specifications

Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its Indian portfolio with the launch of the new Triumph Tracker 400, priced at Rs 2.46 lakh, ex-showroom. While the name suggests a 400cc motorcycle, the new model is actually the brand’s first to use a 350cc engine for the Indian market. The Tracker 400 takes clear inspiration from flat track racing, combining retro styling with a sporty stance. It has a round LED headlamp with a small front screen, a flat handlebar and a flat seat. Apart from this, it gets a straight fuel tank, racing-style graphics, a side number board with ‘400’ branding and a twin can-up swept exhaust.

Triumph Tracker 400: Engine Specifications and Hardware

Powering the motorcycle is a new TR-series 350cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 40 PS at 8,750 rpm and 32 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This downsized engine is intended to offer better value under India’s tax structure for sub-350cc motorcycles.Last year, India revised the GST structure for two-wheelers. Motorcycles with engines above 350cc are now taxed at 40%, while engines up to 350cc fall in the lower 18% bracket. This change makes smaller engines more viable, allowing Triumph to price its bikes more competitively in this segment.
