The M2 CS is a more performance-focused version of BMW’s entry-level M car, with reduced weight and higher power output, making it more suitable for track use. His Nürburgring lap time is 7:25.5 minutes. The BMW M2 CS is powered by the 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine from the standard M2, but with revised internals and a stiffer engine. Output is rated at 530hp and 650Nm, an increase of 50hp and 50Nm over the regular model. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to the rear wheels only. No manual transmission is on offer. BMW claims a 0-100kph time of 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 302kph.

The BMW M2 CS offers subtle design changes compared to the standard M2, including a revised grille for improved airflow and a new front splitter. It rides on striking 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged alloy wheels finished in gold, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires as standard, with optional track tires available at no extra cost. At the rear, the M2 CS features an integrated ducktail spoiler, a large diffuser and matte black quad exhaust tips. It is offered in four colors: Black Sapphire, Portimão Blue, Brooklyn Gray and Velvet Blue.Moving inside, the car gets carbon fiber bucket seats with leather upholstery in M colors, along with carbon fiber trim in the cabin. Other features include an M steering wheel finished in Alcantara, a 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system and parking assistant. The standard interior is finished in black merino leather.
