The Toyota Innova Crysta has received an update for 2026. While the mechanical package remains untouched, Toyota has refreshed the exterior and added new features to the cabin. So, what exactly has changed in the updated Innova Crysta compared to the old model? Here’s a detailed look.
Toyota Innova Crysta New vs Old: What’s Changed
The first noticeable changes are on the outside. Toyota has revised the front of the Innova Crysta with a new grille design that includes three vertical slats in chrome. Toyota has also slightly redesigned the bumper with cleaner silver garnish elements around the fog lamp area. The lower black cladding is now more visible. At the rear, Toyota has also changed the bumper garnish, though the overall silhouette and shape is similar to the outgoing model.

Inside the cabin, the changes are more noticeable. The updated Innova Crysta now gets new dual-tone leather seat upholstery, replacing the simple upholstery finish seen on the earlier model. Toyota has also revised the dashboard and interior trim inserts with gray copper accents and wood pattern details. Toyota has also added some convenience and safety features that were missing earlier. The biggest additions include a wireless phone charger and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). These features are now increasingly expected in the segment, especially considering competitors and even lower-priced cars are starting to offer them.Apart from these additions, the Innova Crysta continues to offer features like touchscreen infotainment with smartphone connectivity, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control and rear AC vents.
New Toyota Innova Crysta: Engine
Mechanically, nothing has changed. The updated Innova Crysta is powered by the same 2.4-litre diesel engine mated to a manual gearbox. This powertrain makes 150 hp and 343 Nm of peak torque.
New Toyota Innova Crysta: Variants and Price
Toyota has also maintained a similar structure. The updated Innova Crysta is available in GX, GX+, VX and ZX trims, with both 7-seat and 8-seat configurations depending on the variant. Prices now start at Rs 19.72 lakh and go up to Rs 26.63 lakh ex-showroom. However, prices have increased for each term.
