Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu has come forward to laud Silambarasan for his dedication and discipline while shooting ‘Arasan’. The film directed by Vetrimaaran is expected to release on Diwali this year. In the last few months, various rumors were spread on social media that the shooting of the movie was delayed because Silambarasan was late to the sets. Responding to these claims for the first time, Thanu rubbished the rumors and shared his experience of working with the actor.

As reported by ABP Live, Thanu said that he had initially planned to talk about Silambarasan at the film’s audio launch, but decided to broach the subject now. According to him, Silambarasan had been growing his hair for almost a year for another project directed by Desingh Periyasamy. However, after hearing the script of ‘Arasan’, the actor reportedly dropped the other project and completely transformed for Vetrimaaran’s film. Thanu said that he reaches the shooting location of Silambarasan almost an hour before and works with full involvement. He also praised the actor as a “one-shot artist” who continues to amaze everyone on set with his performance.

Thanu also addressed reports about Silambarasan’s health during the schedule of the film in Kovilpattin. He confirmed that the actor had health problems while filming there. However, the producer has clarified that director Vetrimaaran himself advised him to rest and recover properly in Silambarasa. Thanu said that the actor remains committed to deliver more than what the director expects from him in every scene. According to him, Silambarasan is completely focused on making the film special and wants to satisfy the director with his hard work and dedication.

The producer also expressed confidence that ‘Arasan’ would be a big hit in Silambarasan’s career. He compared the making of the film to a sculptor carefully shaping a beautiful statue. Thanu revealed that he recently watched a scene from the film and was very impressed with how Silambarasan looked on screen. The actor also mentioned that he had personally asked Anirudh Ravichander to compose music for the film.
