According to a report by ABP News, Ranveer Singh recently approached Farhan Akhtar with a reconciliation proposal, offering to collaborate on a jointly agreed film. He also extended the offer to director Zoya Akhtar, Farhan’s sister and collaborator on the 2019 hit ‘Gully Boy’.The report said, “Ranveer offered to do another film, mutually chosen by Farhan and Ranveer. Ranveer also offered to do a film with Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar, with whom he did ‘Gully Boy’ in the past.”The gesture of good will, however, did not find a taker. The report confirmed that the offer was extended to Farhan Akhtar and his production partner Ritesh Sidhwa and they rejected it outright.The report added, “The offer was made to Farhan and his production partner Ritesh Sidhwa, but they promptly rejected it.” Neither Farhan nor Zoya Akhtar is currently said to be interested in working with Ranveer Singh.

What is the ‘Don 3’ case?

Ranveer Singh reportedly walked out of the “Don 3” project due to frustration over the lack of a finished script and a stalled timeline. Farhan and Ritesh’s Excel Entertainment has since filed a lawsuit seeking Rs 45 crore in damages, and the Federation of West Indian Cine Workers (FWICE) has issued a non-cooperation notice against the actor.

According to an India Today report, FWICE has formally approached the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) and the Producers Guild of India. While Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment remain at the center of the row, the broader goal is said to be to establish clear industry guidelines to avoid disputes in the future, signaling that this break could reshape how Bollywood handles contract disputes.
