Kiara Advani also described the bilingual shoot as one of the most challenging experiences of her career, especially as she had to act all the scenes twice – one in English and one in Kannada.He said, “Working in Kannada, I guess I would say ‘Toxic’ was a challenge because it was the first time we shot in English and Kannada. We would do the same scene. So this shot was an English shot first and until we got it right. Then we do Kannada because you, at least for someone like me, Kannada is speaking verbatim before my language.Despite being shot in English and Kannada, Toxic will release in multiple languages, including Hindi.

Kiara Advani talks about language differences

Despite the language barrier, Kiara says the experience of working in the Kannada film industry is not entirely different from Hindi or Telugu productions.He added: “I think at the end of the day there can be small cultural differences, but at the end of the day I feel like we’re all Indians, so there’s a similarity; there’s a familiarity. Sometimes even the style of working, the bigger the stars and the sponsorship, which is great there. But other than that, I feel like I’ve had a pretty similar experience working in Hindi and Telugu.”
