Film director Shweta Venkat sued FWICE for banning Ranveer Singh over the ‘Don 3’ case, ignoring complaints from 242 editors for three years. In an interview with SCREEN, Shweta pointed to a glaring inconsistency, the failure of FWICE to act on a collective complaint filed by 242 editors in 2023, which highlighted concerns related to pay squares, pending dues and working conditions. FWICE bans Ranveer Singh for ‘Don 3’ exit

Responding to the FWICE directive, Ranveer’s official spokesperson released a statement. “Ranveer Singh has the utmost respect for the film fraternity and everyone associated with the Don franchise. During the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to remain silent, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect. While various narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never felt the need to publicly respond or contribute to conjecture. He remains steadfast in his work and future commitments,” the statement said.

Ranveer’s spokesperson issues a second statement

Later, Ranveer’s spokesperson released another statement on the matter. “Ranveer Singh has the utmost respect for the film fraternity and everyone associated with the Don franchise. During the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to remain silent as he believes that professional discussions and personal equations are handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect. While various narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never felt the need to publicly respond or contribute to conjecture.
