Kerala DHSE Plus Two Result 2026

The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) Kerala on Tuesday announced the results of the Plus Two examination 2026, with girls once again recording a significantly higher pass ratio than boys across the state. General Education Minister N Shamsuddin announced the results after the completion of the evaluation process for Class 12 students from Kerala, Lakshadweep and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This year, more than 4.25 lakh students appeared in the examinations conducted in 2005 schools under the Higher Secondary Education System.

A slight increase in overall performance has been observed.

3,72,423 students appeared for the exam in regular category. Of these, 2,09,398 students qualified for higher education. The overall pass percentage stood at 77.97 percent, slightly higher than last year’s 77.81 percent. But the sharp pattern in results differed between girls and boys.

Girls are outpacing boys.

The pass percentage of girls was 86.89 percent while that of boys was 68.41 percent. The gap of more than 18 percentage points continued a trend that has been evident in Kerala’s higher secondary results over the years. The bay also appeared across the rivers.

Science stream records the highest pass percentage.

Science was the highest performing stream with a pass percentage of 84.52%. Commerce recorded 74.74 per cent, while Humanities was the lowest performing stream at 66.38 per cent.

Several areas were evaluated.

The examinations were conducted at centers in Kerala, Lakshadweep and GCC countries under the supervision of the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, which was evaluated through a standardized evaluation process. While the overall pass percentage has seen a slight increase this year, the persistent gap in performance between girls and boys is one of the clear trends in Kerala’s higher secondary results. Students who qualify the exam will now proceed to the undergraduate admissions and professional course counseling process within Kerala and outside the state.
