BMW India has started accepting pre-bookings for the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive coupe SUV. The model is re-entering the Indian market after being phased out in January 2023. Interested customers can pre-book the vehicle online or at their nearest BMW dealership. A launch is expected in the coming months. It will be brought to India via the CBU route and is expected to be priced in excess of Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom). When launched, it will compete with the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe and the Porsche Cayenne Coupe in the Indian market. Talking about the powertrain, the new BMW X6 will be powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 523hp and 750Nm of torque. It gets 48V mild hybrid tech and comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels. The coupe can sprint from 0-100 in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. Design-wise, the new BMW X6 M60i updates the styling while retaining its coupe-SUV look. The front now features a revised illuminated kidney grille, slim adaptive LED headlamps with new daytime running light signatures, and a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes and gloss black inserts. The profile continues with the sloping roofline that defines the X6, along with new alloy wheel designs and M-specific exterior elements. Sculpted body panels and a pronounced shoulder line maintain the SUV’s muscular stance.At the rear, BMW has revised the LED tail lamp graphics and updated the bumper with larger exhaust surrounds and a diffuser-inspired design. The overall styling continues to combine luxury SUV proportions with a performance-focused look.Moving inside, the BMW X6 M60i comes with a dual-tone cabin and a layered dashboard design with BMW’s curved display setup, which integrates a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation, heating and memory functions, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and a tire pressure monitoring system. The SUV also gets an advanced driver assistance system suite, while the India-spec model offers a similar equipment list.
