How does Aarav and Chandni’s love story begin?
The narrative follows Aarav Rawat, played by Lakshya, whose ordinary first day of engineering college changes after he sees Chandni Rawat, portrayed by Ananya Panday, perform a fusion dance on stage. Instantly captivated, Aarav slowly begins to express his feelings in subtle ways.Chandni notices his efforts and finally takes the initiative by approaching the academics for help. Their friendship quickly turns romantic, and before long, the two share their first kiss and begin a passionate relationship. What initially seems like a loveless campus romance soon takes an unexpected turn.
Pregnancy changes everything
A major conflict enters their life after Chandni gets pregnant. Aarav thinks they are too young to raise a child and encourages them to have an abortion so they can focus on their careers. However, Chandni changes her mind at the hospital and decides to keep the baby.Despite his doubts, Aarav decides to take her side. The couple then informs their families of the pregnancy and their desire to marry, but both households reject the relationship. Their close friends finally step in and help them tie the knot.
Marriage, parenthood and emotional distance
After their marriage, Aarav and Chandni move to a humble home and prepare to become parents. Aarav takes a tutoring job to manage expenses while Chandni gives birth to daughter Kavya. At first, the couple tries to share responsibilities equally, but sleepless nights, fatigue and emotional stress begin to affect their bond. The relationship reaches a breaking point during an argument where Aarav angrily grabs Chandni’s face.The moment reminds Chandni of the toxic patterns she saw growing up, and she decides she doesn’t want her daughter to inherit the same trauma. Choosing self-respect over emotional dependency, she leaves Aarav and later sends him divorce papers.
Why does Chandni initially refuse to meet?
Even after their breakup, Chandni confesses that she still loves Aarav, but cannot forgive the moment he became physically aggressive. Aarav repeatedly tries to mend the relationship, but Chandni is adamant. He is allowed to hang out with Kavya every weekend, and over time, these moments slowly soften Chandni’s feelings. Two years later, he returned to Hyderabad to attend another college orientation event. Although Chandni initially says she won’t go, Aarav surprises Aarav with a dance performance that reflects the moment they first met years ago. The emotional call leaves Aarav flooded with memories.Later, Aarav confesses that despite everything, he still loves her and wants another chance. Chandnik reveals that she ended her engagement with Kevin shortly after the ceremony because she couldn’t really move on from Aarav.
