John Cena has a guilty pleasure show, and he’s not shy about sharing it. The 49-year-old actor and retired professional wrestler recently opened up about his favorite show on the streaming platform and his upcoming comedy ‘Little Brother’, in which he stars alongside comedian Eric André. The conversation ranged from elimination game shows to the unexpected genius of one of comedy’s most distinctive voices.Speaking with PEOPLE at the Upfronts in New York, Cena revealed his favorite guilty pleasure show and gave fans a closer look at what to expect from his next big project.
John Cena’s guilty pleasure
When asked if he had a guilty pleasure on the platform, Cena didn’t hesitate. “He loves me a secret million,” he said, referring to the show ‘Million Dollar Secret,’ in which 12 contestants must find out who secretly owns a million dollars. The contestant with the money gets to keep it, but only if the other players can identify it and prevent it from being eliminated.“I think it’s sleep,” Cena added. “People should check it out. I love the show.” He even revealed that he hopes to appear in the series in the future, crossing his fingers “for some kind of cameo in the future.”

Based on his projects, Cena talked about his upcoming film ‘Little Brother’, a comedy starring alongside comedian Eric André. The film tells the story of a successful real estate agent who throws his carefully planned life into chaos when his eccentric younger brother suddenly reappears. Michelle MonaghanChristopher Meloni, Ego Nwodim and Sherry Cola also appear in the film.Cena already made it clear that he was a fan of André long before the project came together. “I’m a big fan of the ‘Eric Andre Show.’ I haven’t laughed so hard in as long as I can remember,” he said. “And when I read the script for ‘Little Brother,’ it’s totally for Eric, and he needed a sounding board for his jokes, and I’m happy to be that sounding board.”He praised André’s creative vision at length. “His courage is relentless, and his mind is always working,” Cena said. “Eric is hard to compare to anyone else. He’s not so risk-averse. He’s crazy, but he’s very thoughtful, and he’s always working on himself, and it’s awesome to watch.”Cena also drew a parallel between working with André and his years in WWE. “I always love being around talented comedians, all of them, because I always compare everything to WWE, it’s like being around WWE superstars. There’s no wrong way to do our business and everyone has a different recipe, and comedians look at it the same way. There’s no wrong way to do comedy, and everyone has a different perspective.“‘Little Brother’ premieres on Netflix on June 26.
