New Delhi: Gujarat Titans opener Shabman Gul And Sai Sudharsan continued his sensational form in IPL 2026 with another dominant opening partnership, this time Chennai Super Kings On Thursday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.Already in the playoffs, Gujarat Titans once again got off to a flying start as Gill and Sudharsan combined for a brilliant opening stand of 125 runs, leaving CSK’s bowlers scrambling for answers. The pair have been the backbone of Gujarat Titans’ campaign this season, consistently providing solid starts and laying a solid foundation at the top. Both Gayle and Sudharsan have now crossed the 600-run mark in IPL 2026, making them the only pair in IPL history from the same franchise to have two batsmen score 600-plus runs in back-to-back seasons. GT Openers also achieved this feat in IPL 2025.Before the GT duo, several teams had produced two 600-plus hitters in the same season, but no franchise had managed to repeat the feat with the same duo in more than one season.Interestingly, Virat Kohli has crossed the 600-run mark thrice in IPL history – in 2013, 2016 and 2023 – but with a different batting partner each time. He shared the milestone with Chris Gayle in 2013, AB de Villiers in 2016 and Faf du Plessis in 2023.
