Pandya bowled a short ball to Rowman Powell, who attempted a pull shot but could only get a vital edge high in the air.What should have been a simple catch turned into complete confusion.Robin Munns and Deepak Chahar both get stuck under the ball but neither is fully committed. As the catch came down, both fielders looked at each other and gestured as if expecting the other player to take charge.Chahar looked in a better position and should ideally have completed the catch. Muniz even backed out at the last minute, but Chahar apparently lost focus after seeing his teammate in his peripheral vision. In the end, the ball landed safely between the two fielders, gifting Powell a lifeline.Pandya’s reaction immediately told the story. The MI captain looked shocked and deeply disappointed after yet another costly mistake in Mumbai Indians’ difficult season.Earlier, Mumbai Indians struggled to put together a competitive total and managed just 147/8 in their 20 overs in the rain-stopped contest.Asked to bat first, MI never found the momentum and slipped to 41/4 inside the Powerplay.Pandya scored 26 runs, while Tilak Verma scored 20 runs as the pair tried to rebuild with 43 runs.
