India vs Afghanistan: BCCI Schedules First ODI of Series Check Date & Venue

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) rescheduled the first ODI between India and Afghanistan on Tuesday, hours after announcing the squads for the upcoming Test and ODI series.The first ODI, which was earlier scheduled to be played on June 14, will now be played on June 13 in Dharamsala. The only Test of the three-match ODI series will begin in India from June 6.The BCCI also announced the squads for both the assignments on Tuesday.Shubman Gill will lead India in both the formats. KL Rahul has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Test team in place of Rishabh Pant. Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the vice-captain in the ODI format.Senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and pacer Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for the one-off Test and ODI series against Afghanistan. Manav Sathar, Gurnur Brar and Harsh Dubey are new faces in the Test squad.The squad was selected by the men’s selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar, along with Shiv Sundar Das, Ajay Ratra, RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha in the presence of BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia.Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli return to the top-order in the ODI squad, while Ishan Kishan has been added as another wicket-keeping option alongside KL Rahul.India have picked three all-rounders in Hardik Pandya, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar. The spin department will be headed by Kuldeep Yadav.Peace Attack features Arsdeep Singh, Prasad Krishna, Prince Yadav and Gurnoor Brar.
