The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the last date for document verification for candidates appearing for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026, also known as Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) 2026.As per the official notification, candidates whose “Certificate of Claim” status is showing as “Not verified” have to complete the document verification process on or before 21st May 2026.To complete the verification process, candidates are asked to visit their nearest government pre-university (PU) college and submit all the required original documents.KEA has clarified that students whose school and education details were already verified by SATS number during the online registration process do not need to verify those records again if their status appears as “successfully verified”.However, candidates applying under reservation categories will have to complete verification if their certificate status is still marked as “not verified”. These categories include:
- Kannada medium education from class 1 to 10
- Rural Quota
- Linguistic Minority Quota
- Religious Minority Quota
The authority said some candidates did not complete the verification process despite earlier instructions.Calling this a last chance, KEA advised candidates to complete the process without delay. The authority also said that further extension beyond the deadline is unlikely.
