The left-arm fast bowler faced criticism after a clip surfaced in which he called Tilak “Oy and here”, with some fans accusing him of “outrageous racism”.A day later, Arsdeep was again in the spotlight after responding to a fan who asked PBKS to remove Punjab from his name. The fast bowler responded by saying that he cannot take advice from people who still borrow money from their family to buy chips and cold drinks.Ahead of PBKS’ clash against RCB, Andrew Lapps said the criticism had not affected Arshadep’s mindset.“I don’t follow social media a lot myself, so I know there’s a little chatter behind the scenes of different things, vlogging and whatnot, I’m not on that,” Lipps told reporters at the pre-match press conference, as quoted by Hindustan Times.“In terms of his behaviour, Arsh is pretty much a flat-line. He doesn’t go up or down. He’s at his best there. We’re working a little bit together and given his body, there might be some restrictions that might cause some of his performances to be up and down,” Lipps added.Lips said that there has been no change in Arshadep’s attitude in the dressing room.“He is a very vocal person in the dressing room. That has not changed. He is not up and down. He is very calm. I have grown old. I don’t really participate in a lot of social media. You can check my name there,” Lipps said.The PBKS staff member also said that Arshaddeep continues to play a leadership role in the squad.“He’s still incredibly confident and positive, leading from the front on and off the field. He’s a very affable guy, he doesn’t stand out. He mingles, he eats breakfast with everybody,” Lapps said.“So from that point of view, they cover up all the worries that can arise when the pressure is on, which is fantastic. We have a pretty young team and hopefully they get those vibes and stay calm. On top of that, the calmness and lack of attitude volatility is very positive.”
