Twinkle Khanna once revealed that her late father Rajesh Khanna’s astrologer predicted her marriage to Akshay Kumar before she met him. The actor-turned-author said he was shocked when his father told him about the announcement as Akshay’s full name was reportedly mentioned. Years later, Twinkle and Akshay got married after her film ‘Mela’ failed at the box office, turning a playful promise into one of Bollywood’s most talked about love stories.
Twinkle Khanna recalls astrologer Akshay Kumar’s prediction
In an interview on her YouTube channel Tweak India, Twinkle opened up about her unusual wedding-related announcement. She said that Rajesh Khanna’s astrologer told her that she will marry Akshay Kumar.“Before I met my husband, that astrologer told him (Rajesh Khanna) and said, you are going to marry Akshay Kumar. And I said: Who? Twinkle said.The announcement surprised her as she did not know Akshay at that time. Twinkle, also daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, said that she was not a strong believer in astrology. She later visited the same astrologer after marrying her father.Twinkle said the astrologer also predicted that she would become a writer, even though she was focused on fashion and hadn’t written anything in years. He later became an author and published three books.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s love story
Akshay and Twinkle first met at a Filmfare photo shoot in Mumbai. Akshay later recalled, “I met Twinkle for the first time at a photo shoot with Jayesh Seth with Filmfare. I still have that picture.
