ویب سیریز میں خواتین کے خلاف مبینہ توہین آمیز ریمارکس پر یوگراج سنگھ کے خلاف ایف آئی آر درجAccording to police sources quoting ANI, an FIR has been registered under Section 79 of the Bharatiya Naya Sanhita and Section 62A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 at the Sector 36 police station in Chandigarh.Police said the case was registered after the clip went viral on social media and the alleged remarks drew criticism and demanded action. Further investigation is underway. The clip is reportedly from an episode of the Hindi web series Lakhe. In the scene, Yograj Singh’s character is shown inside a police station talking to police officers before allegedly making remarks about women.Yograj, who is Yuvraj Singh’s father, has been in controversy before for his public comments.Earlier this year in March, Ugraj made another controversial statement talking about the retirement decisions of players and the role of women in the family. In an interview with InsideSport, he said: “The housewives, your wives, they start coaching, they tell you it’s time to retire, it’s time to take care of the family, the kids, let’s enjoy the kids.”“So I believe that women should not come between the legendary possibility of a player, a fakir and a player. It is not a dharma of a duno, not a warg, they belong to God,” Yograj had said.In the same conversation, Ugraj also commented on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma amid discussions about retirement and age in cricket. Both Kohli and Rohit have retired from T20Is and Tests and now play only ODI cricket. He retired from T20Is after India won the 2024 T20 World Cup and stepped away from Test cricket last year.“Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are young cricketers and they want to quit. Damn it for life. Make the world realize that you are the best, that you are indispensable. If you are fifty and still scoring double centuries, no one will quit you. So this age factor in this country is ridiculous.” Yograj said.
