Martin Short links mental health fighting cancer
Linking mental health to cancer, she said: “But understanding [is] that mental health and cancer, like my wife’s, are both illnesses, and sometimes terminal illnesses. And my daughter struggled for a long time with extreme mental health, borderline personality disorder, and other things, and she did the best she could until she couldn’t.”
Death of Abou Katherine Short
According to reports, her body was found in her Hollywood Hills home by LA County Fire Department paramedics. According to the Los Angeles coroner, Katherine died of a gunshot wound to the head. In a statement confirming her death: “It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short,” the family said. “The Short family is devastated by this loss and requests privacy at this time. Katherine was loved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”Katherine was a licensed social worker from Los Angeles who devoted much of her career to mental health advocacy. He worked with a non-profit organization focused on reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.She was the oldest of three children adopted by Short and his wife, Nancy Dolman, who died of ovarian cancer in 2010.
Martin Short to premiere his new documentary
On the work front, Martin, who starred in the film ‘Only Murders In The Building’, will appear in the documentary ‘Marty, Life Is Short’, which will be released on May 12.
