The post sparked an immediate strong response from the White House, which prompted the actress to delete the image and replace it with an updated version of her message.On Wednesday, Hamill posted an apparently AI-generated image on Bluesky of Trump lying in a shallow grave with daisies growing around him. The picture featured a tombstone with the president’s name and the years “1946-2024” on it, along with the message “If only” in large letters at the bottom.

Hamill captioned his post: “If – He should live long enough to witness his inevitable loss in the middle, to be held responsible for unprecedented corruption, to be impeached, convicted and humiliated for his many crimes.” He added: “Enough to realize it will be disgraced in the history books, forever,” along with the hashtag “#don_TheCON.”The post remained live until Thursday afternoon, at which point Hamill deleted it and shared an updated version without the grave image. “Exact edit for Clarity: ‘He should live long enough to be held accountable for his crimes,'” she wrote in the new post, which featured an unflattering photo of Trump instead. “Honestly, I wished him the opposite of the deceased, but apologies if you find the image inappropriate.“

The White House’s response was swift and sharp. White House Press Secretary Davis Ingle responded to the post in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “Barack Hussein Obama appeared in a video three days ago with this deranged lunatic,” he wrote. “Now this same person is calling for President Trump to be killed. Why won’t Obama and the Democrats condemn this disgusting call to violence?”X’s official White House Rapid Response account also weighed in, “@MarkHamill is a sicko. These Radical Left lunatics can’t help themselves.
