Bowling coach of Delhi Capitals Manaf Patel said on Monday Langi Ngidi All set to make a comeback after recovering from a head injury sustained during the home match against Punjab Kings on April 25.Ngidi had to be taken off the field on a stretcher and was admitted to hospital after the incident. It happened in the third over of Punjab Kings’ innings, bowled by Akshar Patel, when Ngidi tried to take a catch on Priyansh Arya’s shot.He moved back tracking the ball but was not in complete control. He reached out to reach her but could not touch her and fell on her head. Play was stopped for more than 10 minutes, and Vipraj Nigam came on as a substitute.“Everyone is fit,” Manaf said ahead of the match against Chennai Super Kings.Ngidi’s return will strengthen the bowling unit. Mitchell Starc Also joined the squad and played his first match of the season against Rajasthan Royals. In the game against Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals failed to defend a total of 264, which turned out to be a record chase.Manaf said Starc’s presence will help the team.“When there is a wicket-taker in the powerplay, the whole scenario changes. 220 or 230 is being chased because you don’t get wickets in the powerplay.“When the key bowler is there and takes a few wickets in the powerplay, it makes a big difference,” he said.Talking about David Miller Manaf explained the selection of the team after not being part of the playing eleven in the last match.“You can only fit four foreigners in the XI. Sahil was injured, so we needed an opener and we thought of giving Patham another chance. We had to play two foreign fast bowlers. So between Patham and Miller, only one could play. We went with Patham because an opener was needed.”
