Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price revision across its model range, with the cars set to become more expensive from April 1. The luxury carmaker said prices across its portfolio of sedans, SUVs and electric vehicles sold in the country will increase by around 2 percent. The upcoming revision will be applicable across the brand’s entire lineup in India. This will be the second price hike by the company in 2026, after it raised prices by around 2% in January earlier this year. However, the model-wise price changes are yet to be revealed.According to the company, the decision was taken due to rising input costs and fluctuating foreign exchange rates. The depreciation of the Indian Rupee against the Euro has increased the cost of importing parts and fully-built units. Like many global car manufacturers operating in India, Mercedes-Benz is dependent on many imported parts, which makes its prices sensitive to currency movements.
The brand currently offers a wide range of vehicles in the Indian market. Its SUV lineup includes models like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Mercedes-Benz GLS and the popular Mercedes-Benz G-Class.Mercedes-Benz is also expanding its lineup of electric vehicles in India. The range currently includes models such as the Mercedes-Benz EQA, Mercedes-Benz EQB, Mercedes-Benz EQE and Mercedes-Benz EQS, along with the recently introduced electric version of the G-Class. Apart from its standard luxury line-up, Mercedes-Benz offers several high-performance AMG models and ultra-luxury Maybach vehicles in India. Currently, the most affordable model in the brand’s portfolio is the A-Class sedan, priced at Rs 44.45 lakh, ex-showroom.
