As of Thursday’s paid estimates, the film’s India net collection stands at Rs 5.50 crore, while its gross collection stands at around Rs 6.57 crore.The film gained early momentum with its paid previews, putting it on par with the recent Hollywood release ‘Michael’, which featured a similar performance. The Michael Jackson the biopic earned around 1.70 crores from paid preview shows and 3.70 crores on its opening day. Thus, the two Hollywood films registered almost identical collections at the box office.

According to trade reports, the film was expected to earn around Rs 7 to 8 crore on its opening day, including collections from the preview shows.Driven by metro markets like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, the film saw significant contributions from premium multiplex chains, particularly PVR INOX.

The film also faced tough competition from Marathi film ‘Raja Shivaji’. The historical drama directed and directed by Riteish Deshmukh earned around Rs 8 crore from Marathi screenings alone and an additional Rs 3.35 crore from Hindi screenings.
