‘Jurassic Park’ star Sam Neill, who has been battling stage three blood cancer for nearly five years, has shared great news with his fans. ‘Palm Beach’ actor Sam Neill revealed that he is now cancer free. In a recent interview, she recounted her journey through the challenges of chemotherapy failure, where she felt like she was running away. However, with advanced treatment, his latest examination shows that there is no ‘cancer’ in his body.

“I’ve been living with a certain type of lymphoma for about five years, and I was going through chemotherapy and a pretty miserable business, but it was keeping me alive,” Sam Neill told 7News.He also revealed that there came a time when the chemotherapy stopped working. “I was lost, and it looked like I was on the way out, which obviously wasn’t ideal,” he shared.The actor then underwent cutting-edge treatment, which included genetic modification of blood cells, which helped Neill beat the cancer. “I’ve had a scan just now, and there’s no cancer in my body, which is extraordinary,” she said, before adding, “I’m very, very excited that this could happen.”He is now eager to return to the big screen. “It’s time to make another film,” he declared.Also, after his battle with lymphoma, Sam Neill is advocating for the expansion of CAR T-cell therapy in his native Australia. The mentioned treatment is currently only used in regional clinical trials.

Sam Niell’s cancer diagnosis

In 2023, Sam Neill spoke publicly for the first time about his condition. He was diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma in 2022. “I’m not afraid of dying, but it will annoy me,” Neill said at the time.He continued, “Because I’d like another decade or two, you know? We’ve built all these beautiful terraces, we’ve got these olive trees and cypress trees. I want to be around to see it all mature. And I have my lovely little grandchildren.”“I want to see them grow. But as for the dying ones? I couldn’t care less,” he mentioned.
