Renault Berger Concept: Key Details
The Berger concept was shown during Renault’s recent Strategy Day presentation. While the company has yet to reveal full specifications, the concept gives a clear idea of what the production model could look like and where it will fit into Renault’s future product strategy. The production version is expected to be introduced around 2027, when Renault plans to expand its portfolio with several new models for the Indian market.

In terms of styling, the Berger concept adopts a rugged and straightforward design. It features a squared-off stance, muscular wheel arches and a boxy silhouette. The overall shape and proportions even draw some visual comparisons to the Land Rover Defender. At the front, the SUV features a bold grille, distinctive LED lighting elements and bright Renault lettering in a gloss black panel. Also, it gets a flat bonnet, straight windscreen and chunky body cladding. It is also expected to get 18-inch alloy wheels and offer around 200 mm of ground clearance.
Renault Berger Concept: Expected Powertrain
The production version of the Berger will be built on Renault’s R-GMP architecture. The company plans to offer a wide range of powertrain options, including petrol, hybrid and fully electric versions. Production of the Berger is expected to begin around 2027, in line with Renault’s long-term strategy for India. Once it reaches the showrooms, the Berger is expected to compete directly with popular compact SUVs like Brezza, Venue, Nexon and Sonnet. It will also take on upcoming models based on concepts like the Mahindra Vision S which has been spotted testing in India.
