BMW F 450 GS Variants Explained: Key Features, Differences

BMW Motorrad has launched the BMW F 450 GS in India. The motorcycle is offered in three variants. Prices start at Rs 4.70 lakh for the base variant, go up to Rs 4.90 lakh for the Special, and go up to Rs 5.30 lakh for the top-spec GS Trophy, all prices ex-showroom. Here are some key features and differences between the three different types.

The base variant serves as the entry point but still comes well equipped. It features a 6.5-inch TFT display with BMW’s rotary controller, allowing riders to navigate menus with ease. Heated grips are also offered. Other standard features include ABS Pro, traction control, dynamic braking control, adjustable brake and clutch levers and engine drag torque control. This version is available in a single Cosmic Black color option. These trims have three riding modes: Road, Rain and Enduro.

Moving on, the Special variant builds on the base trim by adding more touring and off-road focused equipment. It features an engine guard, knuckle guards, and a tall clear windshield. It also introduces a fourth riding mode (Enduro Pro) and a quick shifter. It also gets enduro foot pegs. At the top is the GS Trophy variant, which includes all the features of the Special trim and adds more premium hardware. It comes with adjustable suspension, easy-ride clutch, aluminum engine guard, and tinted rally-style windshield.
