“Greenland 2: Migration” has officially arrived on OTT platforms worldwide, and fans can’t get enough of the post-apocalyptic sequel to “Greenland.” Recently, the lead actor of the film, Gerard Butler, who is also known for his work in ‘PS’ They talked about working on I Love You’, ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ and ‘Olympus Has Fallen’, their experience and the issues that they are following. Along with him, the female protagonist Morena BaccarinBest known for ‘Sheriff Country’ and ‘The Wrecking Crew’, he also added what he thought about the film and how he felt while filming it.

In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Butler looked back on the ‘Greenland’ franchise and explained what it was like to work on the thriller film. He said that the one thing he loves most about the film is that it is based on having hope, even when times are tough and life throws you one ball after another.He stated, “That message of hope, and even when things seem bad, sometimes you just have to hold on. Sometimes it felt like maybe they lost hope, or that hope was so small, but sometimes it’s just hanging on.” He also pointed out that the film explores such issues and shows how having a little bit of hope, or simply holding on for a little longer, can go a long way and save you from obstacles and problems. He added, “to have some faith that you’ll get through this, or that somehow, someway, things will get better, that there’s some kind of light at the end of the tunnel – don’t die, don’t give up.”

Talking about working on the film, the actor revealed that since the plot of the second film is about living in a bunker for more than 5 years, he gained a lot of experience from the pandemic. He recalled what it was like to be in total lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, and drew parallels to add a touch of reality to the film.“We had this epidemic, well, to draw from. I know what happened to my children at that time and the way they developed emotionally in those situations. So we were trying to borrow that for this film.”

The sequel to the 2020 release, ‘Greenland 2’ revolves around the story of the Garrity family, who have to leave behind the bunker they have lived in for the past 5 years. With Earth’s unstable environment and an uninhabitable bunker, the family is forced to cross Europe in search of a new home while dealing with the aftermath of the international event that wiped out most of civilization.
