Audi price hike: Why are Audi cars getting expensive?
According to the luxury carmaker, the price revision is being done due to increase in input cost and fluctuations in currency exchange rates. These factors are impacting production costs and imports, prompting the company to make minor price adjustments in its lineup.
The announcement comes at a time when Audi is gearing up to expand its performance lineup in India. The company is all set to introduce the new Audi SQ8 in the country on March 17. The upcoming model will slot between the standard Q8 and the range-topping RS Q8 in Audi’s SUV portfolio.Bookings for the SQ8 have started even before its launch, with customers needing to pay a token amount of Rs 5 lakh to secure the performance SUV. One of the key features of the model is its powerful V8 engine that produces 507 hp and 770 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
