Theron said the experience helped her with her physically demanding preparation and gave her a new way to spend time with her child while working on a high-intensity role.

According to ANI, Theron spoke about the experience at the premiere of her film ‘Apex’ in New York. She said she trained with pro climber Beth Rodden and brought August along to the sessions. Rodden’s child also joined them, and the two children formed their adventurous duo while the adults trained nearby.“It’s kind of bold,” Theron said at the ‘Apex’ premiere. “Beth and I would be working on one side, and every time I got tired, I’d just look over and they’d both be climbing these walls.”The actor said that seeing children climb fearlessly helped him stay motivated. He said their simple approach reminded him not to overthink the task at hand.“It was really good for me to see that,” he added. “Sometimes as an adult, you get caught up in the mechanics of it. And then you just look at these kids who don’t know anything, they’re like, ‘Got to the top.’ And you’re like, ‘OK, that’s all I have to do. Just get to the top.’ It was fun to share that with him,” E! the news
