After months of quietly dating, Critique Kamra and Gaurav Kapur surprised fans by tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in March this year. The couple kept their relationship under wraps until December 2025, when Kritika made it Instagram official, sending fans into a frenzy.
“I’ve been careful about my personal life”
Opening up about her decision to remain private, Kritika made it clear that it was not accidental, it was intentional.“It was completely intentional because I wanted to. I’ve been so guarded about my life, my personal life, my whole life, actually. I’ve literally grown up in the public space, I started acting at 18. At first, I didn’t even know these things because you’re careless,” she told Hindustan Times.After spending years in the spotlight, the actress said the experience taught her the value of boundaries.“You say anything, you do anything. Everything is on the internet forever. I learned the hard way that some things should be yours, and you have to protect that. So many conversations and so many things they would ask me about my relationship status, when are you going to get married,” she added.
“I would only start hard when it was good”
Finally, Kritika introduced Gaurav to the world with a simple breakfast photo—which spoke volumes. Four months later, the couple got married.But for her it was all time.“I never said anything because I was very sure in my mind that I will only launch it when it’s necessary, like when it is. Eventually we got to that point in our relationship where I was like, ‘Okay, now I’m happy to present this part of my life to the world,’ obviously if you’re going to get married, it’s not going to run away,” she said, no matter what we say.
“This decision is my heart and mind”
Now settled in married life, the couple is literally building a house together. From living together to renovating their space, Kritika said this phase is right.“So it wasn’t just any conversation or question. It was something we discussed and developed several times. It’s been a decision of my heart and mind for me, and I don’t take it lightly,” he concluded.
