Cher was reportedly stunned when former model Kayti Edwards recently found out the singer has a secret grandchild through her son, Elijah Blue Allman. In an interview in the USA The Sun reported on Sunday that Edwards had met Allman in 2010 and that her daughter Ever was born that year. She said Cher later contacted her directly after hearing about the baby and reacted with shock. The claim adds a new layer to the family’s already public battle, which includes Elijah’s overdoses, legal troubles and Cher’s renewed conservatorship case.

According to The US Sun, Edwards said Cher contacted Allman in June 2025 after first hearing about Ever during a 2021 overdose incident. Edwards said Cher initially dismissed it as a “crazy discussion” but then wanted answers. “Cher contacted me last June and asked if it was true, so I had to admit it,” Edwards said. “When he heard the news, he was speechless.” Cher then added that she told her family: “Oh my God, I’m finally a grandmother.“Edwards said she and Allman had a brief romance and that she became pregnant after a one-night stand. “He always knew from day one, but he never wanted to be a parent,” she said. “He would show up every two years, but he would say hello.”

Edwards, who is now married, said Allman tried to reconnect in 2021 after an overdose. He said he texted them to make amends. Referring to the man who raised Ever, Edwards said, “She has a father who has raised her since day one and that’s her father. I couldn’t ask for a better father for my children.”He also said that Cher welcomed him and Ever into their Malibu home in September 2025. “He was lovely and kind and we had dinner,” Edwards said. “Cher asked Eve if she wanted to see her closet and showed her the jeans she wore to the concert.” Edwards added: “He was like a child.”Page Six reported that Cher’s representatives had no immediate comment. The outlet also reported that Cher, who she shares with ex-husband Elijah Gregg Allman, re-filed the conservatorship petition, saying her “drug addiction is at its worst.” Court documents obtained by Page Six stated, “Elias has no money management skills, and any dollar he receives from his father’s trust, his only source of income, is immediately squandered without regard for his responsibilities or well-being.The report also noted that Elijah was arrested in February on charges of alleged assault and robbery at a school.
