Sports anchor Shefali Bagga, who is also known for her participation in Bigg Boss 13, has reacted strongly to the constant speculation linking her to cricket, making it clear that she is “fed up” with the assumptions made from her brief appearances. In a recent chat with Filmygyan, Shefali addressed her dating rumors with Yuzvendra Chahal sparked by a viral pap video, while revealing her views on relationships and the type of partner she wants.
‘I’m fed up’
Responding to the rumors of dating Chahal, Shefali did not hold back.“I knew you were going to ask this. But honestly, I don’t want to answer this question because I’m sick of it. People are so small-minded, they assume a dinner is a date.”He added that the speculation exploded after just one clip.“There was just one pap video, and suddenly social media was like, ‘Oh, are Shefali and Yuzvendra dating?'”Considering her profession, Shefali is often seen around cricketers, but she says she doesn’t influence the chat anymore.“Honestly, I don’t care. Honestly, my threshold is over now. Whatever you want to say. I know my reality, and those around me know my reality.”When asked if she would ever date a cricketer, she drew a clear line.“I think you asked me this last year too! But no, this is my profession. I don’t want to mess things up.”He pointed out that the players he admires are not even options.“The ones I like—I’m a fan of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni—are either married or retired. And the rest are probably younger than me!”
‘I want a boy like that’
Talking about her ideal partner, Shefali said she values presence and emotional attention.“Take care, definitely. I like people who are a little obsessed, in the sense that when they’re with their girl, they’re totally with her.”Referring to Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, she added: “You can see how busy he is, but you can also see the love for Anushka – that obsession, that love. I want a guy like that.” For Shefali, it’s the small gestures that define a relationship.“The little things. I love the little gestures, the ones that matter the most in life.”“I can win for myself, everything else is sorted. All I want is a kind, caring heart. A guy who’s obsessed with me, when he’s with me, he’s totally with me. I want his attention.”Despite having a clear idea of what she wants, Shefali says that relationships are not her current priority.“Actually, no. I’m not thinking about it right now. I’m very focused. There’s still plenty of time for that.”At the end of the interview, Shefali also revealed that she is currently awaiting the release of her Bollywood films and one more in the South, without revealing their titles.
