You are undoubtedly the best actor of our generation.”

‘The Global Ambitions of the Ramayana
Beyond the casting, Malhotra has made it clear that ‘Ramayana’ is being built for a global audience, not just Indian audiences. In the teaser presentation of the film, he laid out an ambitious vision for the global expansion of the project.“We want to take Ramayana to the world. In films that are over 100 years old, we have never made a mark in the West. We make more than 1,000 films a year; they may see and respect our films. It’s not that our films are less; we make great films,” he said.Malhotra also dismissed the idea of division over the project, saying, “There are Indians all over the world. We must not be divided; that is where we are going wrong in ‘Ramayana’. There is no division; it is one world, one ‘Ramayana’ and one Rama.”
