Sussanne took to her social media account to post a series of personal memories. The first was a nostalgic childhood photo wrapped in a warm mother’s embrace. Along with it, he wrote: “To the most beautiful mother… we celebrate your love every day.”The second post was a video clip of Sussanne and Zarine smiling together, in front of the camera, a simple but very tender moment. Who was Zarine Khan?
Zarine Khan was the wife of veteran actor and filmmaker Sanjay Khan and mother to four children: actor Zayed Khan, interior designer Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora and jewelery designer Farah Khan Ali. He died on November 7, aged 81, of age-related health problems.

After her death, the Khan family gathered at Zarine’s asthi visarjan, for the immersion of her ashes, in an emotional ceremony. Sanjay Khan shared a video of the solemn event on social media with the caption, “In fond memories of my beloved wife Zarine Sanjay Khan.”He chose the timeless Bollywood song ‘Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai’ as the background score, a fitting musical farewell. The video also featured footage tracing Sanjay and Zarine’s love story and family life with their children.In the Asthi visarjan video, actor Zayed Khan breaks down inconsolably, unable to hold back tears as he bids his last farewell to his mother. Sanjay Khan also looked shaken and emotional during the event. Zarine Khan was cremated according to Hindu rites.
