The price of MG M9 in India has increased significantly. After the latest update by JSW MG Motor India, the luxury electric MPV is now priced at Rs. 75.90 lakhs, ex-showroom. The revision has been made as part of the brand’s April 2026 price update, and as a result, the model is now significantly more expensive than its previous sticker price of Rs 69.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
MG M9 Luxury Electric MPV: All You Need to Know
Positioned in the premium MPV space, the M9 continues to compete with models like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. Carnival, currently priced at Rs. 59.42 lakh, ex-showroom, offers a diesel powertrain, while the Wellfire is much higher at Rs. 1.19 crore with a strong hybrid setup. In comparison, the M9 has an all-electric drivetrain.In terms of design, the M9 is over 5.2 meters long and has a distinctive boxy MPV silhouette. It is available in three color options: Pearl Luster White, Metal Black and Concrete Grey. Key exterior highlights include LED headlamps, an integrated LED taillight setup, a closed grill and 19-inch alloy wheels with chrome details.
Powering the MPV is a 90 kWh lithium NMC battery paired with a front electric motor that produces 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The company claims a driving range of up to 548 km on a full charge. The setup is front-wheel drive, and buyers get an 11kW wall-box charger with the installation, along with a portable 3.3kW charger.Inside, the M9 offers twin ‘presidential’ seats with 16-way adjustment, massage, heating and ventilation functions, and expandable ottomans. A digital armrest controls the seat and entertainment settings, while dual rear screens, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof add to the experience. Apart from these, it gets a 12.23-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-speaker JBL sound system with V2L and V2V capabilities.The M9 is available in both 7- and 8-seater configurations. On the safety front, it is equipped with seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, and Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
