1. ‘Abandons’
In January it was announced that ‘The Abandons’, the western series directed by Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, had been cancelled. The series ran into trouble even before it premiered, with creator Kurt Sutter leaving the production just weeks before filming due to reported creative differences. Sutter took to Instagram to post a heated message saying, “The next time fear forces you to choose an algorithm over a creator’s vision, remember how that choice illuminated a beautiful project,” which he later deleted following contact with corporate lawyers.
2. ‘The Night Agent’
On May 4, it was announced that the fourth season of ‘The Night Agent’ would be the last. Creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan made it clear that this was a deliberate creative decision rather than a cancellation. In an official statement, Ryan said, “Since the initial success of ‘The Night Agent,’ I have been obsessed with finally bringing the show and Peter Sutherland’s journey to a fitting and exciting end.”
3. ‘Selling the city’
‘Selling the City’, a spinoff of the popular reality TV series ‘Selling Sunset’ set in New York City, has been canceled after just one season. 7. ‘Alice in Borderland’
The highly popular Japanese sci-fi thriller ‘Alice in Borderland’ was confirmed to end after Season 3 with a reported engagement in the second half of 2025. The season was falling in critical and audience ratings, and fans who wanted a resolution to its finale were disappointed.

The popular legal drama ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’, based on the book series by Michael Connelly, will end its fifth season, which is currently in production. Co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez released a joint statement saying, “All good things must come to an end, but fortunately, sometimes how they end is up to us.”
10. ‘Love, Meghan’
The Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle show is reportedly not returning for a third season. A source told PEOPLE in January that there were “currently no plans” to continue. A spokesperson then confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Markle’s partnership with the As Ever brand had also ended. “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in a beautiful yet simple way inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are delighted to have played a role in bringing that vision to life,” the spokesperson said.
11. “Miss Governor”
Tyler Perry’s political comedy “Miss Governor,” which premiered in May 2025, will not be returning for a second season. In an Instagram video in March, star Terri J. Vaughn confirmed the news, saying, “I have to admit, I was pretty devastated when I first got the news. I really worked hard to make that show happen.”

13. ‘Class’
‘Class’, the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish TV series ‘Elite’, was initially renewed for a second season, but actor Gurfateh Pirzada confirmed on Instagram that it would not be going ahead. Men’s Journal reports, “Unfortunately we couldn’t give you another season because life usually has other plans.”
