One major thing fans missed this year was the ‘Bridesmaids’ reunion, and Covey was the only one missing. To put an end to the rumours, the actor took to social media to clarify what really happened, and he did it in a hilarious way!

Taking to her social media handle, the actor explained that she was recovering from surgery, which is why she couldn’t attend the big movie bash on Sunday.However, the star made light of the news in a hilarious way, posting a photo of himself lying in bed with an elastic bandage wrapped around his head for support. The actress said: “I just stuck my neck out last week because I’m tired of looking like a melting candle. So I had to skip the Academy Awards. No drama. Everything is fine.”

While Covey was recovering from surgery, co-stars Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose ByrneMelissa McCarthy and Ellie Kemper had the time of their lives at the Oscars, celebrating their much-anticipated reunion.The ladies were invited together to the Oscars stage to present the Oscar for Best Original Score. Before announcing the winner of the prestigious award, the actors joked about the reunion. Kristen commented, “We’re so glad we’re all together tonight. I can’t believe it’s been 15 years. We’re not good with numbers, but we figured it out on stage. That means we shot this movie in 1883.”Byrne, who was nominated for her role in ‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’, also read a hilarious note allegedly written by fellow actor Leonardo DiCaprio, saying: “‘Rose, can you stop looking at me? The eye contact is too much.’ I’m thinking of leaving. I’m very uncomfortable’”.
