Kamal Haasan demands strict action
Kamal Haasan, in his post on X, said: “#Jananayagan’s leak is not an accident – it’s the result of systemic failure. If due process had been timely, we wouldn’t be here. Inordinate delays in certification created fertile ground for piracy. When legal access stops, illegitimate means take over.”He continued, “Piracy is beyond politics; it is an attack on art and the artist. It puts at risk the work of hundreds of artists and technicians, and the investments of honest tax-paying producers, exhibitors and theater owners, all of whom support the cinema we love.”“Who protects the creator when the system fails?” Kamal Haasan said, “We need accountability, speedy certification, strict enforcement and real-time takedowns. I’m sure true movie lovers will come together and give a befitting response by watching it legally in theaters, like you have been with me in the past.”
