Jeethu Joseph’s latest Malayalam thriller ‘Valathu Vashathe Kallan’ is gearing up for an OTT release. The film will begin streaming within two months of its theatrical release.

Plot: Revenge meets a race against time
The story revolves around CI Antony, a corrupt cop whose life takes a dark turn when he crosses paths with Samuel.Samuel’s daughter goes missing and is later found dead. This tragedy drives him to revenge. Antony is exposed and sets out to discover the truth.While Samuel plans his moves, Antony faces a crisis of his own and must race against time to save his son. The plot itself is something the audience expects from a Jeethu Joseph film.

The film has received mixed to positive reviews from critics. Our ETimes review said: “The first part is excellent, with a good story, we are drawn in with emotions and unexpected twists, and at the halfway point you have no clue how the story might go. And when you think about it, you will be surprised by some well-placed dialogues, and some added dialogue at the end. It lacks the edge-of-the-seat element of a thriller. It may or may not be a complaint.’The reviewer added, “The film benefits from the writer and director being in sync. Dinu has created interesting characters and situations, enhanced by Jeethu with the right moods, lighthearted or witty.”
‘Drishyam 3 ‘update
Meanwhile, Jeethu Joseph is also working on the much awaited ‘Drishyam 3’. The announcement has now been postponed. It will arrive on May 21, 2026, coinciding with Mohanlal’s birthday. The film was earlier scheduled for April 2.Sharing the update, Mohanlal wrote, “The past never stays silent… it just waits. Georgekutty is here on May 21, 2026. #Drishyam3 | Worldwide release.”Reports say tensions in the Gulf region played a role in the decision.
