UPSSSC Pharmacist Recruitment 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released two important corrigenda affecting the ongoing recruitment drive, bringing important updates for candidates preparing for government jobs in the state. While Pharmacist recruitment under Advertisement No. 01-Exam/2026 has seen a slight increase in vacancies, a separate notification related to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) Recruitment under Advertisement No. 02-Examination/2026 has reduced the total number of posts. These revisions released in March 2026 are very important for candidates as they directly affect the number of posts available and the level of competition. Candidates who have already applied or are planning to apply should take note of these changes and adjust their expectations accordingly, keeping up with the official updates from the Commission.

The number of UPSSSC posts increased.

According to the corrigendum issued by UPSSSC, four additional pharmacist posts have been included in the ongoing recruitment process. These posts fall under the Departments working within the Directorate of Medical and Health Services, Uttar Pradesh.With this change, the number of vacancies has now increased from 560 to 564. The Commission has once again reiterated an important provision mentioned in the original notification, namely that the total and category-wise number of vacancies is likely to increase or decrease as per administrative requirements. This means that candidates should be prepared for further changes in the posts as the selection process progresses.

The application schedule remains unchanged.

Despite the revision in number of vacancies, UPSSSC has not changed the application timeline. Candidates must adhere to the previously announced deadlines:

Junior Assistant Recruitment: Revised 4 posts.

UPSSSC has also issued “Essential Information” notice regarding Junior Assistant Recruitment under advertisement no. 12-Exam/2024.Initially, 5 posts were advertised under Directorate of Panchayati Raj Accounts, Uttar Pradesh with the following vertical reservation.

However, after adjustment related to appointment of a dependent of a deceased employee, the number of posts available has been reduced to 4.The revised vertical reservation is as follows:

Earlier, the horizontal reservation included 1 post for women, but the updated notice focuses on the revised vertical distribution after the adjustment.Candidates are advised to rely only on official notifications and stay updated on further reforms or announcements to avoid confusion.
