The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UPMSP) has announced a special two-day window on April 6 and 7, 2026, to allow schools to upload pending Class 12 (Intermediate) practical exam marks, after thousands of students were affected by the lapse in admission applications.According to an official release issued by Secretary Bhagwati Singh, the results of around 34,637 candidates have been adversely affected due to incomplete marks being uploaded at 652 practical examination centers in the state.
UP Board Practical marks were not uploaded even though the exams were held.
The intermediate practical exams for 2026 were conducted in two phases – 24th January to 1st February and 2nd February to 9th February. The deadline was later extended to February 13 to accommodate pending evaluations in some schools. However, on reviewing the submitted data, the board found that while the external examiners had uploaded the marks, many internal examiners failed to submit the marks through the school login, resulting in discrepancies and incomplete processing of results.
Last chance for schools and examinees
In response, the Board has decided to reactivate the official portal (upmsp.edu.in) for a limited period. The internal examinees are instructed to upload the remaining marks within the stipulated dates using the link available on the home page. The board has issued strict instructions saying that failure to upload the pending marks in this window will result in failure of the affected students.
Accountability of those responsible
The UP Board has made it clear that in case of non-compliance, the entire responsibility for negligence and lack of supervision will be on the concerned Internal Examiner, School Principal, and District Inspector of Schools (DIOS).The move is aimed at protecting the interests of students and ensuring that no candidate is unfairly penalized due to administrative lapses.
