Hyderabad Kingsmen managed a brief comeback through Hasan Khan and Saeem Ayub, but Shaun Masood’s blistering 29 in 16 ensured the chase was kept on track.In the closing stages, Arafat Minhas added the finishing touch by scoring an unbeaten 26 off 11 balls. Farhan completed his century in the 19th over and soon sealed the victory with a six.Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen scored 225 for 5 thanks to Moaz Sadaqat and Sharjeel Khan’s explosive innings. Moaz scored 62 off 26 balls, reaching his fifty in just 19 balls, while Sharjeel remained unbeaten on 51 off 26 balls. Despite their strong batting performance, the Kingsmen, led by Marnes Leboschgen, suffered their third straight defeat. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans registered back-to-back wins to start their campaign in impressive fashion.
Farhan joins Elite T20 century club
Farhan’s innings marked his ninth T20 century, making him joint fourth on the all-time list with Virat Kohli and Riley Russo. Notably, he broke the records of Virat and Russo and became the second fastest player to reach the milestone in terms of innings (160), behind only Chris Gayle (127), who tops the charts with 22 centuries.He is now behind only Gayle (22), Babar Azam (11) and David Warner (10) in the list of most T20 centuries.Earlier this year, Farhan also made history during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, becoming the first player to score two centuries in the same edition and surpassing Virat Kohli’s record for the most runs in a single tournament. He scored 383 runs in seven matches at an average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25. Virat Kohli held the record for over 12 years, when he scored 319 runs in the 2014 edition of the T20 World Cup.
