Todd Bridges of ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ fame has filed for divorce from his wife Bettijo B. Hirschi. The launch comes three months after the actor and his soon-to-be ex-wife announced their split in January 2026.The couple married in September 2022, nine months after meeting on a dating app.

According to People, Todd, 60, officially filed for dissolution of marriage without minor children in Maricopa County, Arizona court on Tuesday, March 31. He cited the marriage as “irretrievably broken” as the reason for the divorce.Bridges and Hirschi, who is a photographer and a designer, said they have no community assets or debts and are not seeking spousal support. All other terms have been settled in a mutual agreement reached out of court, according to the report.The couple separated in January 2026. At the time, Todd told the aforementioned publication, “After much prayer and consideration, my spouse and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This was not an easy choice, and it comes with a heavy heart, but also with love and gratitude for the life we shared.”

According to the aforementioned publication, Todd Bridges and his soon-to-be ex-wife met through a dating app. The former couple met in January 2022 when a friend of Hirschi’s profiled her on a dating app and showed Bridges to “research the market,” she revealed in a December 2024 appearance on the Tamron Hall Show. Although Hirschi had previously sworn off the application, he agreed to go on the date. Bridges proposed six months later, and the couple tied the knot later that year in September 2022.

This marks Bridges’ second divorce. He was previously married to Dori Smith from 1998 to 2012, with whom he shares son Spencer, 28, and daughter Bo, 29. Hirschi also has four children from a previous relationship.
