The recruitment rally is scheduled to begin in March 2026 at infantry battalion centres. These centers are located in Amritsar, Ludhiana, Bari Baraman, Jalandhar, Sorankote, Baramulla, Rajouri, Bareilly, Meerut, Almora, Ambala, Palampur, Shimla, Kota, Jaipur, Sriganganagar and Delhi.For the recruitment drive, candidates who are interested in joining the regional army need to participate in the zone wise rally recruitment. Eligibility Criteria and Educational QualificationApplicants are required to meet the educational qualifications, as specified for each post. For Soldier General Duty, applicants need to pass Class 10 with minimum 45% aggregate and 33% in individual subjects. For Soldier Clerk, applicants need to have passed 10+2 with minimum 60 per cent aggregate and 50 per cent each in individual subjects including English and Mathematics or Accounts.For tradesmen, applicants need to clear Class 10, except for Housekeeper and Mess Keeper, where applicants need to clear Class 8.Age range, physical standards, and fitnessApplicants age range is from 18 years to 42 years. Physical standards require a minimum height of 160 cm, a minimum weight of 50 kg, and a chest of 77 cm.The physical fitness test is worth 100 marks and includes a one-mile run and pull-ups. Candidates between the ages of 18 and 30 have to run a mile in 5 minutes and 30 seconds to get a full score, while candidates between the ages of 31 and 42 have slightly more time to complete the test.• Direct link to go to official websiteSelection process and pay structureThe selection process includes document verification, physical fitness test, written test, medical test, and finally preparation of merit list. Candidates have to qualify in all these processes to proceed in the selection process.The pay scale ranges from Rs.15,500 to Rs.69,400 per month, inclusive of DA, HRA, PA, MA, and Risk Allowance.Required documents and application feeTwo attested photocopies have to be submitted along with the original documents during the recruitment process. These documents include domicile, academic mark sheets, identity proof in the form of PAN and Aadhar card, character certificate, caste certificate and photographs.The application fee for candidates belonging to General, OBC, and EWS categories is Rs. 100. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are exempted from application fee. It can be paid through online modes or e-challan.
